Oocyte retrieval

The eggs are retrieved via a minimally invasive surgical procedure, whereby a needle guided by ultrasound is transvaginally inserted to aspirate the oocytes out of the ovarian follicles.

Oocyte retrieval is performed under general anesthesia.
